Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 June 2026
This policy explains what Dress Your Sound ("we", "us") does with information when you use the Service. We try to keep this short and concrete.
1. We do not require an account
Dress Your Sound does not ask you to sign in. We do not connect to your Spotify account and we do not access any of your personal Spotify data (your library, playlists, playback history, email, profile, etc.).
2. What we send to third parties
- Spotify Web API. When you type a song, we send the text you typed to Spotify's public search API to retrieve song metadata and album artwork. This uses our own developer credentials — your identity is not sent.
- AI model (Lovable AI gateway → Google Gemini). We send only the text you typed and your chosen styling preset (men / women / diverse) to the AI model to generate the outfit. We do not send album artwork or Spotify-supplied metadata to the AI model.
- Retailer links. When you click an outfit pick, you are taken to a third-party retailer's search page (ASOS, Shein). Those retailers have their own privacy policies once you arrive on their site.
3. What we store
Nothing personal. We do not maintain a user database. The only server-side cache we keep is a short-lived, in-memory cache of recent search queries (no IP, no device ID) used to stay under Spotify's API quotas; entries expire within minutes.
4. Cookies and analytics
Dress Your Sound does not set tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
5. Children
Dress Your Sound is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
6. Your rights
Because we don't hold any personal data linked to you, there is nothing to export or delete on request. If you believe we hold data about you, email us and we'll respond promptly.
