Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of Dress Your Sound (the "Service"), an independent web application operated by the Dress Your Sound team ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Dress Your Sound lets you type a song and returns an AI-generated outfit suggestion along with public song metadata retrieved from the Spotify Web API. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Spotify content and Spotify as a third-party beneficiary
Song titles, artist names, release years, genres and album cover artwork displayed in the Service are provided by Spotify AB ("Spotify") through the Spotify Web API ("Spotify Content"). All Spotify Content is owned by Spotify or its licensors.
- Spotify provides Spotify Content "AS IS" and disclaims all warranties of any kind (express, implied, statutory or otherwise), including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and quiet enjoyment.
- You may not modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Spotify Content, the Spotify Platform or any portion of the Service that integrates with it.
- Dress Your Sound (not Spotify) is solely responsible for the Service and for any claims relating to it, including product liability, consumer protection, and intellectual-property claims that arise from the Service.
- Spotify is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and is entitled to directly enforce the provisions of these Terms that relate to Spotify Content and the Spotify Platform.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute Spotify Content;
- use the Service to train, fine-tune or otherwise ingest data into a machine-learning or AI model;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or the Spotify Platform.
4. Outfit recommendations and outbound links
Outfit picks are generated by an AI model and link out to third-party retailer search pages. We do not sell those products and we make no guarantee about availability, fit, price, or accuracy. Your transactions with those retailers are solely between you and them.
5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Dress Your Sound nor Spotify will be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
6. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
